From Germany to Gualtallary, Bemberg Wines 🍷

In 1850 Otto Bemberg emigrated from the Old World and sailed for South America, settling in Argentina. A family legacy that was born with vineyards in the old world grew with beers in the new, and since 2010 returned to its first love with vineyards in Mendoza and California and multiple product lines.

In particular, the Bemberg Wines @bembergwines project has as its center to unite the family and share in its wines from the LA LINTERNA line the characteristics of different micro terroirs located in Gualtallary, Los Arboles, La Consulta, Valle de Cafayate, Valle del Pedernal, and Chaùar Punco. While in Pionero they have a mix with Malbec, our emblem grape variety, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Daniel Pi @danielpi314 is the master hand behind these wines "I´m taking an imaginary journey through the wine regions, an experience that gives meaning to so much work and that is summed up in each bottle. ".

The first vintage was 2013, which began to be marketed in 2018, and the winery opened its doors in 2020. The establishment was designed by Bórmida & Yanzón and organic forms were sought. The cement tanks emulate a tasting glass (Design by Daniel Pi that you can see in the photos) and the wood is found in the foudres and barrels that are used in the process. Curved shapes, simplicity, air purifiers, and temperature control, in addition to a detailed knowledge of soils that accompanies the creative process of wines.

A fast but fascinating tour of a winery where technology is in harmony with the environment.
